Alex has been working over in London, in Stark Industries there, however, after dealing with the possibility of a stalker, she turns to the one person she knows will protect her, above anyone else - her brother, Tony Stark.
Tony does the one thing she had hoped he wouldn't, he puts her under lockdown in Stark Tower, and assigns her a bodyguard - Bucky Barnes. 
Alex doesn't want to be tied down, doesn't want someone telling her how to live her life, after her experience with Carl, she didn't want that again, and naturally she is stubborn and fights against this, however, it comes all back on her, when things get out of hand.
Bucky Barnes ever the professional, tries his hardest not to be pulled in, but he finds he can't stop himself getting more involved with the woman who rubs him the wrong way, who can walk into a room and with a single look, irritate him.
Will Bucky keep fighting against the attraction, will he remain the professional bodyguard, or will he fall and give in, causing problems, confliction and confusion.
Things get out of hand, Alex's stalker is closing in, meaning Bucky has to remain vigilant.
