Self Conviction - Mattheo Riddle

A rabid animal conditioned to love something it so badly wants to flee from, will gnaw at its own tail until it realizes it is not confined, for harming ones self is often easier then escaping the will of another you once thought to cherish.

What you desire the most can often conflict with what you think you deserve. As two teenagers surpress their inner hatred for themselves they learn to find comfort in one another. The question is will this comfort take them down a better path, or down a path of self destruction and isolation.

Emery Ivormore has always thought she was the route of everyone's problems. Convinced from a young age that the death of her parents was due to her magic, she is conditioned to believe magic is something that should be suppressed, forgotten, eradicated. Her hatred for what lies within leads to self destruction, harm and an inability to connect with those around her. What will happen when she meets a boy who's been taught all his life that magic should be put above all else.
