Though Alya finds herself drawn to him, she can't admit it, not even to herself. Her pride won't let her; showing any hint of emotion feels like a weakness. And so, she pretends she doesn't care, keeping up her distant, aloof image. Yet, she can't help but wonder if Kiyotaka sees her as just a classmate or if he cares for her in a way she secretly hopes he does. For Kiyotaka, Alya might be just a seatmate.
