What would you do if you found out the last few years of your life were nothing but lies?
Sadie Adler is living in bliss. Married to Jake Adler and living up in the mountains, a small cabin, a barn and a farm filled with animals and crops. They'd lived in the mountains now a year. Four hours from any other civilization. With winter in full swing, trips to town or the small neighboring tribe.
When her father hired a new mysterious farm hand three years ago., everything changed for young Sadie. Jake was everything in the young woman's eyes. He was much older. His past was mostly a secret.
One day a group of strangers show up at the farm and threaten Sadie's way of life. Destroy her marriage. When men show up at her home asking for shelter from the blizzard, Sadie abliges.
Who is Arthur Morgan and why did he have to destroy a woman's life?
What will Sadie decide after her world is forever changed.

Robert has to re-evaluate his place in the world, in a world were outlaws, cowboys, killers and thieves were no longer wanted. His relationship with Mary-Beth is on the line as she has been drawn closer to him, though his heart is still torn over his previous lover's loss.
