Hana is the daughter of a renowned healer in the raiding village of Srisset but she would much rather stab someone than mend them, she'd rather fight on the front line than stand behind it, and she'd much rather gut the Dorsi soldier who killed her sister than forgive and forget like Srisset's council commands. So when the offending court offers an arranged marriage between Hana and its prince to smooth things over between enemy realms, Hana doesn't wait for her mother, or the council, to respond. Instead, she embarks on a covert mission to suss out her sister's murderer and burn the country down from the inside.
