trying my hand at poetry. sometimes its about love, too much, crushing so hard you're breaking, but sometimes its about the itch in your brain where no verbal statement can reach. I fell in love with literature harder and softer than spoken words. But, on the other hand, poetry cannot be simple. There's nothing to it. Really. I'm just and average girl who's finding out that the world is big. In fact, it's too big. It's so big it's messing up me and some of the people I care about. And it's just because I learned a new concept called love?! Star is a different type of girl. Ever since she got detached from her divorced, emotionally unavailable parents, she's been filling up her quiet, lonely world with music and dancing. She's practically a musical prodigy at 16 and music can't possibly be taken away from her. The only people she's ever been really close to are her psycho, over enthusiastic bff's. They're the only people she can tolerate anyway. That's until one fateful day when she meets a cocky, narcissistic, though really cute guy at her favourite fro yo shop who gets under her skin for just being himself. She absolutely detests guys like him. Absolutely gorgeous, frustratingly charming, cocky as hell and shockingly talented at music. That's right. Star discovers that this seemingly unbearable guy loves music almost as much as she does and just that single fact makes her heart soften a little so she lets her guard down for just a tiny bit. But after that one moment that she decides to let it down, she realises that she can't get it back up again. She discovers she can actually feel things and once she acknowledges this, her whole world is completely changed from the quiet, peaceful, drama free life she has always been used to into a series of drama, heartbreak, tears, broken trusts and friendships.

A.E Housman I've written poetry for as long as I can remember... My style varies, from dark and alone... to in love and flying through the stars. I try to put down my emotions, whether directed at a specific person or event. I often find that I've written something without even thinking about it.

A very short novella (Only about 10k words in total) that I used to get me out of a writing slump, with little to no action but lots of emotions. A reflection on my mind of what love is, and what defies it? What if, I loved someone I didn't? What if, I fell in love, again? What does it feel like, to be in love so desperately?
