He always wakes up in a cold sweat and breaths heavily after every nightmare. A few years later, the old Iraq vet died of old age and Alex couldn't bring himself to visit his friend's grave. The vet's family knew about Alex, but he disappeared after his friend died of old age. But one day he saw someone who was fighting with the Avengers and the new Avengers and she had pink skin and green hair with yellow eyes. He couldn't keep his eyes off of her, until she was hit by a bad guy that she and both teams were fighting and something inside Alex snapped when he saw her get hurt.
