Azazel, a former apostate angel, becomes infatuated with Theresa, a young and vibrant artist. Despite his eternal damnation, Azazel is drawn to Theresa's kindness, sympathy, and zest for life. He gradually integrates himself into her life, bringing together her loved ones. Theresa becomes aware of something amiss as Azazel grows closer to her.
