In a small, quiet farming village, 15-year-old Emily leads a simple life, helping her family tend to their land and animals. One day, while exploring the outskirts of her family's fields, she stumbles upon a magnificent, wild horse-its coat gleaming like burnished gold and its eyes full of untamed spirit. Despite its beauty, the horse has a mysterious, restless energy that keeps everyone else at bay. Undeterred, Emily is drawn to the animal and begins visiting it in secret, gradually earning its trust with her kindness and patience. As they grow closer, a unique and unbreakable bond forms between them, one built on mutual respect and understanding. Together, they face challenges that test their friendship and reveal Emily's inner strength, as she realizes that this horse is not just her companion, but a reflection of her own wild, free spirit. Their journey proves that the strongest connections in life aren't forged through words but through loyalty, love, and a shared sense of adventure. A 14 year old girl named Sara in 8th grade starts getting bullied badly. No one wants to hang out with her and she has no friends. Her best friend, Sophie, moved to Tennessee and that was the only friend she had. One day on the way home from school she encounters a beautiful black stallion. This horse was very special and came into Sara's life for a reason. This horse teaches Sara the true meaning of friendship. This story is definitely one you want to read and it can even teach you some life lessons. Some of these things actually relates to my life. Obviously I never randomly encountered a horse but I do love horses and I hope to have one soon. I also get bullied very badly. This book is in 1st person and I definitely think you should read it.
