Without thinking, Jasmine leaned in, and her lips brushed against Patrick's in a soft, gentle kiss.
Patrick felt a spark he had never felt in his life but instead of returning the kiss, he sat frozen, his eyes wide with shock. He didn't pull away, but he didn't respond either. He just sat there, his face inches from hers, his lips still touching hers, but unresponsive.

Jasmine felt a flush rise to her cheeks as she pulled back and realized what she had done, her face burning with shame and tears, she looked away, unable to meet Patrick gaze.

Luckily for her, the driver knocked and opened the door, breaking the awkwardness to inform her she was home. As Jasmine rushed out of the car Patrick tried to speak, but she couldn't bear to look at him.

"Ms Anderson, wait-"

She wouldn't answer leaving his words hanging in the air.
