Somewhere in Southern Spain, one needs to find the light in the dark. If you were to tell Sofia Accetta that, she'd simply glimpse herself in the mirror and there it'd be. Sofia is belligerent, cold, and incapable of feeling anything for anyone. Having grown up in Granada, a curious city in the Andalusia region of Spain, she developed a vanity that the careless people of the town disregarded. Letting her vanity thrive unchecked, the star herself ascended upon her pedestal. However, after an unprecedented accident at Montessori High, her adoptive parents along with the school board decide to send her away. Gravity has a way of pulling people back to earth, even pretentious white dwarfs portraying a star. Somewhere in Eastern Brazil, a boy witnesses the crash landing of a star, forced to spend her school year in exile helping build schools in the village of Morretes. Having spent his entire life in Brazil, Emilio Cortes has seen hundreds, no, thousands of people, just like Sofia. People like her get sent away under the pretext of "bettering themselves", though it's all a hoax. They just live a few unique experiences before returning to their life of comfort with a trophy that they carry around for the rest of their lives. She was no different. She was different. A brief paradise in their mundane lives.
