Luna Swan was a witch. She studied at Hogwarts, was a muggleborn just like her best friend Hermione Granger and the two of them together competed to stay top of their class... the brightest witches of their age. She didn't talk to her older sister and that was just fine with her, she didn't want to hear about how much of a freak she was anyway.

She thought she was fine, her life was perfect... that was until him.

Alec Volturi was a vampire. He was feared amongst his own coven alongside his twin sister Jane - the two of them together made up the Witch Twins. They were amongst the most powerful vampires alive with their powers to create pain and draw away any feelings or senses. He didn't care that everyone gave him a wide berth, in fact he preferred it.

He thought his life was perfect too... until he met her.

They kept their lives together separate from their ones with their coven and school. That was until Hecate decided it was time to show the entire world the devastating future that awaited them unless they made changes.
