I reach for the bottom row, my fingers prying her mouth open wider. From my bag, I retrieve the pliers, the metal cold and heavy in my hand. The first tug sends a delightful crunch reverberating through the room, a mix of tearing and cracking that makes my breath catch. I pull again, harder this time, and the sound is exquisite.
