In a world where Faes and humans live together, 18 year old Maeve loses her father to the dark and dangerous Fae called the Sea-Serpent. Now, she is stuck living with her controlling step-mother and step sister. Maeve comes to realize that nothing and no one will ever love her.
One day in the forest, a man rescues her and shows her what love can look like. Before she gets her happily ever after, The Sea Serpent attacks her town, and offers her 3 months to sail the seven seas, train with him, and if she hasn't fallen in love with him then, she can happily try to kill him. Will she take the chance and avenge her Fathers death, or finally get the happily ever after she deserves?
