Guardian of Dreams: The War for Vita's Soul by user08415229
10 parts Ongoing
Daemon has lived for thousands of years, experiencing countless lives, but as time passes, the loneliness grows. He knows it's part of God's plan, yet the isolation persists. Cut off from his family and his heavenly home, Daemon was sent to Earth with a mission: to protect dreams. The Devil, however, has been corrupting dreams, stealing half-angel children after they turn 16 and recruiting them to the dark side. Daemon is the younger brother of Michael, and though few know it, God tasked him with saving these children from falling to darkness in this Holy War. When Daemon first sees Vita at 16, she is already broken, and he wonders if he can save her. But Vita is different. She cannot see or hear him as other children do. Daemon can only reach her in her dreams, causing her to wake in a paralyzed state, terrified. Neither Daemon nor the other angels understand why she is like this. Unbeknownst to them, from the moment she was adopted at 16, Daemon has been watching over Vita. She can feel his presence but doesn't understand who he is or why he's there. Vita's tragic past is the key to it all: her mother, Lilliana, had fallen in love with an angel, which altered the fate of the world. Lilliana died giving birth to Vita, and the angel, heartbroken, returned to Heaven. Left alone, Vita grew up in a hospital, abandoned, with no one to care for her. Most half-angels are the offspring of fallen angels, which is why the Devil seeks to claim their souls. But Vita is different-she is holy through and through. Still, the Devil wants her as his prized possession, an angel to fight against her own family, her own father. Vita and Daemon's relationship begins with fear. She sees him in her dreams and believes him to be a sleep paralysis demon. Paralyzed with fear, she is terrified each time she wakes. Daemon, however, is determined to reach her, but she struggles to see him for who he truly is: her savior from the darkness.
The Seven Kings by MorganMathiex
1 part Complete Mature
The world is on the brink of annihilation as the Void, an ancient and malevolent force, threatens to consume everything in its path. A prophecy foretells the rise of seven destined kings who must come together to save the realm. Each possesses unique powers, born of light and shadow, yet their union is fraught with tension, mistrust, and the weight of their personal pasts. At the center of the story is Kael, a fiery and determined warrior seeking redemption and purpose. Alongside him are Elysia, a wise and enigmatic mage with a deep connection to the world's hidden truths; Nira, a skilled archer driven by loyalty and fierce independence; Serin, a scholar haunted by the burden of ancient knowledge; Lyra, a rogue whose sharp wit hides a wounded soul; and other allies whose destinies intertwine in unexpected ways. Their journey takes them through perilous trials, from haunted libraries and ancient sanctuaries to crumbling cities torn apart by the Void's corruption. They uncover fragments of the past, learning of an ancient order that once sealed the Void away, and the sacrifices it demanded. Through relentless battles and moments of reflection, they begin to understand the price of wielding their extraordinary powers: the need for balance, unity, and self-awareness. Despite their victories, the world remains scarred. Even after destroying the heart of the Void, cracks remain in the fabric of reality, threatening to fester into something worse. The seven realize their fight is not just against an external darkness but also within themselves, as they grapple with loss, duty, and the temptation of unchecked power. Amidst all this, the story shines with moments of humanity: bonds forged in fire, laughter shared after battles, and the quiet, personal struggles that make each character relatable. These moments of levity and connection serve as a poignant reminder of what they are fighting to protect-a world of fragile beauty and hope.
IRON HAND (BOOK ONE): FOR THE GREATER GOOD by LowHale
34 parts Complete Mature
"Iron Hand" begins in the throes of what most stories would consider the final battle. Buren, leading the "Seekers of the Artifact," utilizes the power of the Gauntlet, an ancient artifact for which he sacrificed his own arm and triumphs over the dark lord, ending the undead scourge plaguing the lands. Without a foe to unify them, the alliance of various racial, religious, and political factions begins to unravel. Reluctant negotiations result in an uneasy peace that leaves many dissatisfied, especially Buren. Now feared and distrusted for the power of the Gauntlet, Buren finds no respite. Dark visions he believes to be warnings from the Gauntlet haunt his dreams. However, his fears are dismissed as the delusions of a war-weary mind. Determined to confront this new threat, Buren follows his visions to an ancient mountain, located within the sacred grounds of the Dryads. The distrustful Dryads deny him access. Out of options, Buren infiltrates the Faith, a fanatical human supremacist religious order, becoming their enforcer, their "Iron Hand." As Buren travels, we delve into the backstories of the "Seekers of the Artifact," witnessing his navigation through a treacherous web of intrigue where trust is a luxury he cannot afford. The realm suffers under a despotic king, with whom Buren must ally on the surface, while secretly plotting his downfall. The situation is further complicated by his arranged marriage to a woman harboring her own dark secrets. Literary heroes sacrifice everything for others, but what happens when saving the world requires sacrifices from everyone? When do the ends cease to justify the means?. What if saving the world involves sacrificing innocents, betraying loved ones, and allying with despised enemies? "Iron Hand" is a story of a man who gave everything to save the world once and is now prepared to do so again, even if it means crossing lines he never thought he would. But will he still be hailed as a hero?
