For centuries, the Chaos Emeralds have been shrouded in mystery. Their origins unknown, but their power undeniable. These seven ancient gems hold the ability to warp reality, granting unimaginable strength, speed, and the power to manipulate time and space itself. Separated for ages, they've been the stuff of legends-fabled objects of both good and evil.

However, in the shadows, Infinite, a powerful and vengeful villain, has other plans. Obsessed with gaining the Chaos Emeralds to enhance his illusory powers and take revenge on Shadow for past defeats, Infinite believes Sonic is unworthy of possessing such artifacts. As Infinite's obsession grows, he sets in motion a plan to claim the emeralds and unleash untold chaos upon the world.
