Her previous job treated her horribly, and others in general pick on her because she doesn't have a lot of fashion sense, and she's not much to look at. People had even called her "beast" at times and "outcast." She hates the idea of being around the famous and beautiful Elvis Presley. Maybe she will just steer clear of him the whole time she's there.
