Whispers of the Forgotten Forest is a gripping fantasy tale that follows Lira, a skilled hunter from a small village, who is drawn to the mysterious and forbidden Forgotten Forest. For generations, the village elders have warned of the dangers lurking within the forest's ancient shadows, but Lira begins to hear strange whispers that seem to call her deeper into its depths. When she discovers that her mother, who vanished when she was a child, may have entered the forest and never returned, Lira's resolve to uncover the truth strengthens.

Despite the warnings of Jake, a mysterious traveler who reveals himself to be a Forest Guardian, Lira ventures into the heart of the forest. She soon learns that the whispers are not mere superstition, but the call of an ancient power that is tied to her family's past. As Lira faces dangerous trials, including taming the spirit of a powerful wolf, she begins to unlock a magic she never knew she possessed.

With each step deeper into the forest, Lira uncovers secrets that threaten not only her village but the entire realm. Dark forces stir beneath the surface, and Lira must confront her destiny, wielding the forest's ancient magic against an emerging evil. Whispers of the Forgotten Forest is a tale of mystery, courage, and the unbreakable bond between nature and magic, where the line between myth and reality blurs, and Lira must choose her path before it's too late.

1 part Complete
In the heart of a harsh desert lies an oasis protected by the Jakari and Sandwalkers, two tribes divided by tradition. When a hidden city awakens, threatening to unleash its destructive power, Amira, a Jakari warrior, and Liara, a Sandwalker scholar, must forge an unlikely alliance. Their perilous journey into the city's ruins reveals a forgotten past and the key to controlling the power source. By deciphering ancient rituals and learning to communicate with the desert's energy, they establish a fragile peace. Years later, new whispers emerge from the forgotten canyons, hinting at another slumbering force. Amira and Liara lead a new expedition, encountering a colossal creature, a protector of a dormant power source disrupted by their ancestors. Through understanding and diplomacy, they restore the balance and solidify their role as guardians of the desert. Generations pass, and the once-small oasis blossoms into a thriving city-state, Whisperwind. The current Keeper of Whispers, Elara, grapples with a new challenge - whispers emanating from a vast, unknown desert beyond their borders. These whispers, unlike the familiar warmth of the desert, are cold and metallic, a desperate plea from a dying civilization. Through tireless research and a newfound understanding of the whispers, they discover a way to offer aid, bridging the energy signature of the dying civilization with their own spring. The whispers fade, replaced by a comforting silence. Whisperwind stands as a testament to the power of communication and the delicate balance between humanity and the unknown. The Jakari and Sandwalkers, now united as the Keepers of Whispers, face a future where they are not just protectors of their own desert, but guardians of a universe teeming with the potential for both destruction and understanding.
Rebecca Split (Sparks will fly) by Spinzhira
30 parts Complete
The planet is in trouble. The Sparkies are here and they haven't come in peace. They feed on decay, and will stop at nothing to satisfy their hunger. This is the biggest challenge since the extinction of the dinosaurs and a fight that Mother Nature cannot win by herself. A new kind of hero is needed and when the call comes, it is to one who is a little younger and a little more mischievous than expected. Rebecca is like every other fourteen year old. Her hobbies are sleeping, moaning, eating and searching for answers to the imponderable question 'Why is it always me?' She does have one unique attribute though: the voices in her head are real. Not only that, but they want to come out. Her toughest fight to that point had been an ongoing crisis with uncontrollable hair, but now she must put aside her teenage troubles and travel the length and breadth of New Zealand, to vanquish the enemy before it's too late. From the wine regions of the Wairarapa, the streets of Auckland and the seal sanctuary of Cape Palister, to the tranquillity of the Pacific Islands, Rebecca must travel to wherever the danger threatens because, whether it interferes with her homework or not, the future of our planet is in her hands. Rebecca shares her mind and body with three others: Ranga, a red haired conservationist with the fashion sense of an explosion in a paint factory; Psycho, a hard hitting martial arts expert, all adrenalin but more Goth than girl; and Boff, a braniac with an IQ to embarrass a roomful of university professors. With a little help from Oldag, (the living embodiment of Mother Nature,) some magic and an awful lot of luck, they'll face this enemy, share the occasional milkshake and hopefully be back at school before any of the teachers notice. There will be split nails, dodgy outfits and more than the occasional tantrum, but Rebecca and her split personalities will stand together as one, in a showdown that will determine the fate of the world as we know it.

Kept in absolute secrecy, it seeps into a fading town, quietly shared from person to person. For Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate, this discovery could mean an escape from his empty existence. To Rachel DuValle, perpetually underestimated and dismissed by the world, magic represents a chance to become something much greater than herself. In the face of an unsuspecting world, their decisions shape the growth of a budding society discovering untold power. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever - or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. ----- The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series.
