Your Stupid Face A Desert Duo Story
To describe Scar & Grian's relationship, it is one of complete and utter loathing. The two have a deep-rooted dislike for one another, always wanting to bully each other every time they come near. However, whenever they do pass or see each other, they would get this strange feeling of warmth and joy that fills their guts. But they don't know what this sensation is, they just know that it makes them want to bully and torment the other even worse. It's such a unique feeling, no one can explain it, not even themselves. They just know that the feeling is there and they hate it. They hate it so much that they wont admit it or even talk about it, it's something unspoken but still a powerful and driving force between the two. Grian hated it, hating that feeling of warmth and attraction that Scar was causing. This completely flipped their relationship, as Grian started to want more of Scar's attention. However, he felt so conflicted about this feeling as well, wanting to fight and torment Scar but unable to resist the charms as well. This story is inspired by the song Your Stupid face by Kaden Mackay I hope you like it! The art is from tobytoaster on tumblr but I made the cover myself by just conjoining the two pieces and added some text. Blue is in the clutches of the Watchers. And one of her friends *is* a Watcher, and Martyn betrayed everything he knew, and it's tight and claustrophobic and annoyingly shimmery and... Basically, she has a lot on her mind. Gem, meanwhile, is dealing with a bunch of rowdy Last Lifers getting into her world, her twin brother getting "inspired" by an untrustworthy source, and of course, three missing people: Blue, Grian, and some guy who everyone seemed to hate named Martyn. But there are a lot more problems to solve than those. People and things that are supposed to be gone return, secrets that everyone would rather keep hidden are uncovered, worlds full of citizens are destroyed, and friends who have so much to live for die. Most of the problems can be traced back to the Watchers, which is why Blue and the rest of the Listener's Chosen are determined to defeat them. But things aren't always what they seem, and it's easy to get sidetracked when there's more than one villain. If you haven't read Life Hearts (book 1) or Evolved (book 2) go check them out.
