"Good afternoon passengers. This is the pre-boarding announcement for flight 69B to California. We are now inviting those passengers with small children, and any passengers requiring special assistance, to begin boarding at this time. Please have your boarding pass and identification ready. Regular boarding will begin in approximately ten minutes. Thank you."

"Kya soch raha bhai." Raghav asked and put his hand on my shoulder.

My gaze was still at the entrance waiting for her to show up one last time before I went away for forever.

"She won't come." He said softly and patted my shoulder.

"I know she won't." I said with a sad smile.

My eyes never leave the entrance. I know she is not coming, but I'm still waiting for her to come and meet me one last time.

"Then why are you still waiting?" He ran a hand through his hair, frustration mixing with concern.

"My heart is not listening to me." My eyes constantly flickered toward the entrance, searching for her familiar face amidst the sea of strangers.

"Vardaan, there's something you need to know," He began, his voice hesitant.

"What?" I said absentmindedly my eyes were still fixed on the entrance.

"Vardaan, listen to me. Lavanya... she's already engaged."

"What?" he whispered, the word barely escaping his lips.

"Why didn't she tell me?" He asked, his voice thick with hurt.

"I didn't know I got to know this from Kashvi." He sighed.

"I guess I was a fool." I said quietly, more to myself than to Raghav.

"This is the final boarding call for passengers booked on flight 69B to California City. Please proceed to gate 3 immediately. The final checks are being completed and the captain will order for the doors of the aircraft to close in approximately five minutes time. I repeat. This is the final boarding call for passengers. Thank you."
