But with the gang being hunted down by the Pinkertons because of Blackwater and with the advent of progress and the time of outlaws dying out. Robert has to re-evaluate his place in the world, in a world were outlaws, cowboys, killers and thieves were no longer wanted. His relationship with Mary-Beth is on the line as she has been drawn closer to him, though his heart is still torn over his previous lover's loss.
