Lillian Van Hound's last straw was when her father tried to pick her future husband.

Control had been something she'd lost long ago, but with wobbly determination, she grasped it beneath her strait-laced finger tips and ran off to America in order to start a fresh. Although, things aren't all sunshine and rainbows. She's quick to realise that landing on your feet without a padded trust fund behind you can prove to be quite challenging.

I suppose it's a good thing she caught the eye of Ray Ribbon, otherwise known as one of the 'Crypids.' A group which protects the streets - keeping local gangs in order. They're also suckers for strays. Particularly, pretty blonde ones with a whole lot of baggage they plead to help her carry.
