I close the book. All Was Well. My life in Hogwarts was basically in the palm of my hands. I haven't been here very long, maybe six-seven months. I just recently found out I was a fictional character in a book. A woman, J.K Rowling,strange name I thought, from this world called Reality wrote me.
Chuck; I wondered how Thomas did in the next book. According to Arthur, The Maze Runner was the first book in a trilogy, and I would be able to read the rest of them to find out how my friends did. I sighed aloud. I missed Thomas. And Newt. An Teresa. I would give anything to see just one of them again. No, I reminded myself. That would mean that one of them would have to die.

In this fanfic, Newt and Cara are already in a relationship but their situation threatens to pull them apart. Will their love stand the trials brought about by a dying world? Short Summary Newt, Cara, and the rest of the group are rescued from the maze. Cara is given her memories back right before her, Newt and the group escape the WICKED facility. Her loyalty to her friends wavers but she soon realizes that she no longer wants to work for WICKED despite Teresa trying to convince her otherwise. They try to escape the grasp of WICKED as they make their way through the Scorch in search of the Right Arm. Cara struggles with personal issues and traumas that have been brought back along with her memories. Newt tries to hold her hand every step of the way. I feel a hand on my shoulder and look up to see my 14 year old brother Thomas and I hug him. "We can watch him everyday (Nickname), he's still with us" Thomas says "But it's not the same. Present time: I sit on my bed waiting to be called. It had been one year since I said goodbye to my boyfriend Newt as he was sent up into the maze and now I could see him again, but I wouldn't remember him, nor would he remember me. "You ready?" My big brother asks sitting beside me "I suppose, I'm scared though" I say and he puts an arm around me. What if... Teresa never went with Thomas when she died, but instead, got the serum and went to try to save Newt without anyone knowing. Everyone would be gone to the Safe Heaven thinking Newt and Teresa are dead. But 1 month later, Newt woke up, healthy again and cured. Newt and Teresa then make a team to try and get back to the Safe Heaven where is everyone. This is an alternative end for The Maze Runner : The Death Cure (because I'm clearly still not over Newt's death and I'm so mad that they killed him, so yeah...)
