Don't feel sad over someone who gave up on you, feel sorry for them because they gave up on someone who would have never given up on them.
-Frank Ocean

Raiden Osborne-Fields is part of an elite Mafia group and has been since he was taken in by the bartender who helps to take care of the other members of the group.

Raiden has spent most of his life trying to get rid of the voices that were always there. The voice that told him he wasn't enough, that no one wanted him, that he was useless. He felt that if no one saw his pain then maybe it would go away, so he hid his suffering behind a mask of fake cheerfulness.

As he goes into his sophomore year in college, he feels the same overwhelming uselessness that has followed him since he was a teen out on the streets, even with friends that he thought would always be there for him.

That is until he meets Hugo Andrews.

Hugo Andrews has always been the guy who people stayed away from, whether it was the permanent scowl on his face or the more blunt way he spoke. Whatever it was it caused the man to be more of a loner.

When Hugo meets Raiden, he thinks he looks way too happy for it to be genuine. As Hugo starts to become closer to the blond he starts to see cracks in his mask as he slips up.

What were to happen if they learned of the other's secret?
