In an attempt to collect the money for his mother's heart operation, Daniel returns to the life he thought he had left far behind. The life of a card cheat. His first steps back into a gambling world were rough but he quickly managed to adapt and successfully gained the money for the operation but the unwelcome guest from the past ruined Daniel's moment of joy. Larry, the owner of a dying casino, arranged a poker tournament in order to save his casino and himself from bankruptcy, but this idea didn't play out as he expected. The tournament did not attract enough players to be profitable and Larry promised a grand prize of 5 million. He didn't have that kind of money, so he decided to fix this race. He heard that Daniel is back into the game so he visited him and put Dan into a situation where he cannot cheat.
