'He'd always known. Deep down it had always been there. The fact that he was completely and utterly in love with Frank. A love so strong that he regularly cried himself to sleep over it. He cried for what he knew they would never have. Frank saw Gerard as a brother almost, and there was no way in hell Gerard could ever have him in the way he longed to. But it was getting harder and harder every day. They were both getting older, and Gerard wanted nothing more than to settle down, but he wanted the person he would spend the rest of his life with to be Frank. There was no one else. There never would be. He was certain of that. But in order not to jeopardize their relationship as it was, he would simply have to swallow down those feelings and just accept Frank as nothing more than his best friend.'
