Parasitic fluids were accidentally released starts to infect Animates all over Paradise! Taking away the soul of their host to gain full control of the body, turning them to Inanimates, soulless cannibalistic zombies.
However, 5 Animates decided to go look for their missing friend ever since the apocalypse started. They enter the forest their friend was last seen and stumbled upon an abandoned lab... or was it really abandoned?

What would you do if one second you were struggling to survive with your friends and mother in tow, and then you wake up to find yourself with a group of strangers the next - all during the country's takeover of blood-thirsty zeds? Megan couldn't believe her eyes. Her brain was muddled with confusion she couldn't get rid of, no matter how many times those strangers reassured her and explained what happened. And on top of that, she had the zeds to deal with. It didn't exactly make it easy to prevent getting infected. Things could have been worse, though, Megan thought. She could've been left all alone to ponder over her thoughts and fear over the future.
