Parasitic fluids were accidentally released starts to infect Animates all over Paradise! Taking away the soul of their host to gain full control of the body, turning them to Inanimates, soulless cannibalistic zombies.
However, 5 Animates decided to go look for their missing friend ever since the apocalypse started. They enter the forest their friend was last seen and stumbled upon an abandoned lab... or was it really abandoned?

They thought they could contain it, control it even, but it's spreading faster than they thought. The world is dying faster than ever before. And Carisa only want to survive, to make it to the next day, bumping into an Alien she thought she'd be petrified. But upon further inspection... their not that much different that humans. Curiosity at its peek with both of them and so she gains a tail always creeping behind her. The aliens just won't let her go. Story is written on my free time so it has a lot of typos, sorry. Apocalyptia: Rewritten
(This was a story where I tried too hard to be smart, it came out as forced and unentertaining. While it was also fun to write, I strongly believe that the absurdity of the original edition was more entertaining.) Four friends that were never used in another book and totally are original are violently thrown into the end of the world. With the military nowhere to be seen, they venture out into the destroyed open world, hoping to find more helpful allies, not foes. This version of Apocalyptia has been improved and modified and will be heading into a more realistic direction than the original one I've written, this time with the help of my friends, I'll make it a more satisfying book to read. What would you do if one second you were struggling to survive with your friends and mother in tow, and then you wake up to find yourself with a group of strangers the next - all during the country's takeover of blood-thirsty zeds? Megan couldn't believe her eyes. Her brain was muddled with confusion she couldn't get rid of, no matter how many times those strangers reassured her and explained what happened. But she had to accept it, even though it didn't make any sense to her. Megan had been with her mother every step of the way since everything turned to chaos, beginning just a year before, and now she was nowhere to be seen. And on top of that, she had the zeds to deal with. Ghastly creatures that used to be human, carrying a virus that's spread through a constant hunger for flesh from the host, spreading through bites and scratches. It didn't exactly make it easy to prevent getting infected. Things could have been worse, though, Megan thought. She could've been left all alone to ponder over her thoughts and fear over the future. It'll only be within the time spent with the new group will she find out that everything's not as happy and welcoming as it had seemed. These people had a few secrets of their own, including the real reason they took Megan in.
