Every year, my town chooses a sacrifice for the demon that "watches over" our home. In exchange for a person from the village between the ages of 17 to 25, the demon protects our village. Every night for almost a year now, I get nightmares. Nightmares of something that can't possibly be real. The nightmares have made me paranoid, made me believe that my friends will turn around and betray me, even if the 'friends' they refer to are only in the dream world.
