The Story of Rosa (Rozenta)
"A prince in a dress, a soul in disguise."
In a world governed by bloodlines and appearances, Rozenta was born of love and abandonment.
His mother, a commoner with eyes like spring rain, had once believed in fairy tales. When she met the Duke of Eldharts,cold, calculating, and impossibly charismatic, she thought she'd found her happily ever after. But the Duke never promised her love. To him, she was nothing more than a convenient secret. Someone to carry his child without the entanglements of marriage or scandal.
When Rozenta was born, his mother knew the truth. The Duke had gotten what he wanted an heir and would cast them aside. She left before he could, fleeing to a neighboring country. There, in a modest wooden cabin surrounded by wildflowers and free laughter, Rozenta lived a quiet, blissful childhood.
Those first seven years were his only taste of real happiness.
Then came the Duke.
A chance visit to a remote tavern led him to Rozenta a child with flowing dark hair and a delicate face, laughing as he played a fiddle in a corner for a crowd of commoners and nobles alike. The Duke saw beauty, poise, and a potential future.
"Such a beautiful girl," he said.
Rozenta only blinked and answered honestly, "I'm a boy."
