Luna Lovegood has changed her name to blend in with a completely different world than what it was before Voldemort won the war. Seeing Neville die ripped something inside of her that she couldn't seem to get back. The name Luna no longer suited her. After all, the Death Eaters had torn through every witch and wizard who defied them, and Luna didn't want to be another one of the bodies that hung above the entrance to Hogwarts.
