"Greencrest, Battalion 12. Acknowledge."
"Battalion twelve acknowledged, how can I help?" the voice from the radio replied.
"We have a man down. I repeat, man down. Driver for Engine 1271 was struck by explosion debris and is down." Sabrina said, her eyes clenched as she spoke.
The radio was silent for a few moments, but eventually the voice returned. "Battalion twelve, are you calling mayday?"
After another sigh, she answered. "Correct."
"Mayday acknowledged, man down. What assistance do you require, Battalion Twelve?"
"We need a code three box out here now, and a replacement driver."
"10-4 Battalion Twelve, dispatching units now. Call for further assistance." After the sentence was over, the radio went quiet.
Sabrina looked over at Ryan, and then let her head fall to look at the ground. She stood in silence, taking in everything going on around her.
Beep. "Rescue 13, rolling. Code three to Battalion Twelve mayday."
Beep. "Engine 13, rolling. Code three to Battalion Twelve mayday."
Beep. "Captain Jones, rolling. Code three to Battalion twelve mayday."
Beep. "Interceptor 002, responding to Battalion Twelve mayday, via code three"
Beep. "Interceptor 117, responding to battalion Twelve mayday, via code three."

"Crew 13 10-4 Greencrest. Maintaining code thr_____"
The radio chatter slowly faded away from Sabrina's mind. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She cleared her head from everything she could. Tonight was going to be a long night.
