Nova Winters has always had a bit of a tough time with life. He was born with underdeveloped vocal cords, rendering him mute since birth. His mother had abandoned him due to being a boy. His father was unknown since his mother got pregnant at a party and didn't know who the father was, so he's not in the picture. He had to be raised by his grandmother his whole life.

Ethan Woods is known for his intimidating appearance, but he mostly keeps to himself. He's quite popular in school and around town. He lives alone due to both his parents leaving him behind due to lifestyle and homosexuality.

The pair end up meeting due to being paired up together for a project.

Blake finds himself becoming attracted to the small mute boy. The same is said for Nova, who steadily grows more and more attracted to the tall, dark and mysterious boy.

They decide to get to know one another and enter each other's worlds and navigate the paths of love and differences together.
