The Unknown's Embrace follows the journey of Missy, a powerful but childlike being of ancient origin, who has spent eons imprisoned beneath the earth by those who feared her immense power. When a catastrophic earthquake shatters her bonds, she emerges into a world drastically changed-a city bustling with life, technology, and a faint trace of magic that is slowly fading from existence.

In this new era, magic has all but vanished from the world, surviving only as the innate abilities individuals are born with-gifts that have grown weaker with each passing generation.
