How to Find Purpose and Peace: Why Am I Here?
Why am I here? What is my purpose? What is the meaning of life? Why am I alive? It seems that since the dawn of time we have been asking ourselves this very question. Kings and philosophers have puzzled and theorized, and paupers and plebeians toil under the sun wondering if there's more to life. Human!Betelgeuse (Beetlejuice) x Reader
First year of college! Your major is undecided and you're mostly focusing on your core classes right now. Now this isn't going to be your classic "love at first sight" spiel. In fact it may just be the opposite. A/N: I'm excited to write this story! This is my first time writing fan fiction in three years so I hope I'm not too rusty. Its been twelve days since i started college, i have a small group of friends, I'm enjoying it very much. I'm still the timid girl I've always been since childhood, i don't go out, i stay in my dorm with most of my free time unless I'm with my friends at the café or movies. My friends are not like me, they go out a lot, to dorm parties, frat parties and to the bar or club, they don't seem to mind and every now an then they will try to get me to go out but, it never works. It's not that i don't want to go out i just like to be alone, i like there not being any complications at all. After my first boyfriend in high school i don't ever want to give anyone the chance to like me, not that the relationship was bad, just.. Leaving him to come here was hard on both of us. Something we could have averted had we never crossed paths... ...................... "Okay and this is... Can anyone tell me?" "Ahhh yes, Matt." "Corson, religion, Christian, one of the kings of hell, controls 72 legions of demons." The voice is behind me, the voice send shiver down my spine. "Correct! Creator: Friend or Foe?
This story began as a NaNoWriMo 2012 work, with no planning, and even less idea of plot. I learned from that experience that I am not a 'pantser' -and spent about 20 painful months trying to turn my stream-of-consciousness 3-stories-in-one into one coherent novel, following the timeline and events in the Book of Genesis. I discovered that that is not a great way to build a plot. I ended after 5 more drafts, at about 60k words. There is another draft on my blog, slightly longer, a bit more experimental. "Fuck." He whispers into my neck, sending a thrill of excitement through my body. His lips still smothered kisses over my neck and his hands roamed my body, starting at my chest, going down to my stomach. Paint Us Gray: Part 1
Rejection. Betrayal. Heartbreak. Grief. Unfortunately, we've all had a swallow, some more than others, of this bitter brew. This is just a sliver of my chapter that is a part of this world's grand narrative; it's about one person's toe dipping into the brokenness of the Earth, and the ripples, waves, tsunamis it created in her life. A couple of months ago, while consoling a friend grieving the loss of a relationship, he asked me a question no one had ever asked me before. A very vulnerable and powerful question. I had been sharing some of my own similar experiences with him when he messaged me that life changing question, "And, what did you see at the top of the mountain?" While his words were just letters on a screen, I could see the hunger in his eyes, hear the desperation in his voice, sense the overwhelming thirst of a person climbing up an incredibly steep and treacherous mountain.
