Mature
In a world where supernatural abilities are both a blessing and a curse, Viviane, and her group of friends have spent their lives hidden in the shadows, confined within the walls of a mysterious academy.

Here, they've been honing their extraordinary powers under the watchful gaze of their headmaster-a man as secretive as he is powerful. But when they're suddenly told they are humanity's last hope to stop an upcoming fight, they begin to question everything they've ever known, including the true purpose of their powers and the intentions of the one training them.

Each of them carries secrets, scars, and grudges that could either bind them together or rip them apart. Old betrayals resurface, love blooms, and loyalties are tested as they uncover a sinister conspiracy that reveals what they suspected all along. But the worst discovery of all? One of them has been marked as "the key"-someone with the power to either save or doom them all.

Will they become heroes, or will the secrets they find destroy them before they have a chance to fight?

Atlas Johnson is the youngest of the 5 teens, she has known the Fisher boys, Belly and Steven ever since she could remember. She's had feelings for Jeremiah since they were children. Atlas could remember the first time she noticed her crush on Jeremiah. It was the thanksgiving when Jeremiah was 11. It was the first time the Fishers came to cousins at Atlas's home. They were so used to only coming to the Cousins beach house. It was the year of firsts. That summer, Atlas told Belly of her small crush on Jeremiah. Belly then confessed her crush on Conrad, and then on they made a pack that Conrad and Belly would get married and Jeremiah would marry Atlas. It was perfect, Belly and Atlas had no conflicts with each other crush wise. They both knew dibs and took it very seriously. Until the summer Belly got her braces removed and got contacts. Everything changed that summer, the boys paid more attention to Belly, leaving Atlas to the side. I mean how could they not leave Atlas to the side, nothing really changed for her. Atlas was still the same old Allie. She got her braces removed, but she never had glasses or an awkward phase. This story is about how Atlas Johnson handles mentality, and change. How her best friends never noticed their Atlas wilting away like a decaying rose. Atlas faces jealousy, depression, anxiety, love and heartbreak. (Atlas is only a few months younger than Belly, since Belly's birthday is in Summer, Atlas is in November.) Enjoy this story for free, available now for a limited time! The aliens kill every human they catch, or in rare cases, put trackers on them to discover their hidden villages. When Natalie is caught in an ambush, she is unexpectedly released. But there is no tracker. The Saursunes have an entirely different motive this time. *** Run. Don't look back. When Natalie is trapped in an alien ambush, she is unexpectedly released. The first human to ever be let go. The Saursunes invaded centuries ago, and everyone knows that getting caught is certain death. Natalie is confused but grateful to be alive. As a porter, one of the few humans with the rare ability to teleport between special crystal formations, she must leave the safety of her desert village every day to help gather food. When other villages increase their raids on the Saursunes' farms, the aliens retaliate by hunting down every human they can find - except Natalie's group. Instead of trying to kill her and those helping her, they bring them food instead. Is it a trap? Or something else? Natalie isn't sure, but one thing is certain: the Saursunes aren't done with her yet. ------------ Updates are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 11-1pm MST.
