the war between angels and demons has happened and a hunter bloodline called the hellbourn's have been fighting against demon for years and a young girl called Cassidy doesn't know her family history with the demon's until one night she walking home and finds herself kidnaped by one .   but before the demon's can kill her she is saved by a stranger , her parents leave to go and see her grandpa and leave her behind with her best friend Corbin who is an angel but she doesn't know that expect her parents who know his true identity and his family history with the war against demon's Cassidy knows something is going on but doesn't know what . until her parents tell her about her birth right , cassidy has to make a choice to either become a hunter and join the family or will she walk away  but  she has so many questions but she is scared of the outcome and what she finds out will change her future and also her relationship her best friend Corbin.
