Her words evidently managed to pull his attention back up to her face, his eyes only a little bit wide at her declaration. Underneath his suddenly intense gaze, she felt her throat begin to grow dry.

LOTR - Female Reader x Faramir Fanfiction
You're a Ranger of Ithilien and Faramir's Girlfriend. You were dating before he became a captain, and since, publicly, he don't treat you any different from anybody else, so it's cool. I got this idea after seeing the Expanded edition, (I had only seen the Theatrical, so it explained sooo much.) and then seeing the lack of Faramir fanfiction. The youngest of Lord Elrond's children has always been different from her siblings. A part of her seemed to be locked away, waiting for the right moment to burst forth. Despite this, she was loved, she was treasured and she was protected... until she wasn't. The day she unlocked her true self is a day that haunts her. Instead of the assured protection of her family, she became the protector. That day lingers. It scars. The traumatic event not only affected her but her family. As time moves forward the scar remains, not loudly or visible but it remains. Until an event occurs and that nightmare was said to slink back into darkness, providing a semblance of peace. A small fire, a source of heat for her but a beacon for unsavoury characters. That is all took for the nightmare to come back. That once locked part now pulsates. A warning perhaps or a sign of evolving. She seeks out a wizard for her answers and instead she leaves with more questions and uncertainties. She offers her help when asked, a small thing for a dear friend... Oh how she regrets that. Dwarves! Dragons! Wargs! She did not agree with this. She did not agree with it at all! Amongst, verbally combating with dwarves, playing therapist to an emotionally compromised hobbit, refraining from pushing an annoyingly vague wizard; she finds the past does not remain there. Where he fought at the start of the battle, his daughter will fight for the end. But through all this fighting and all this darkness and light; through being the ray of hope for everyone else, Allora finds a ray of hope for herself. A ray of hope that takes form in her Elvish companion, Legolas. How she still looked majestic, despite the scars on her face and hands was questionable. Why the elleth was in Rohan and where she disappeared to from time to time was a mystery. I do not have any copy right claims regarding the original books or movies this fanfiction is based on and I do not make any money from this content.
