Arsonist's Lullaby
As firefighters for the 118 of the LAFD, Eddie and Buck face dangers quite often. However, when Eddie gets trapped under feet of mud, something shifts in the two friends and teammates. Buck becomes more skittish and Eddie becomes more questioning towards his friends. He knows something is up with Buck, but he isn't too sure he wants to know. Buck has severe abandonment issues. With Eddie being trapped under the well, he was sure that he hadn't been as scared as he was in that moment. The grief tearing at his chest followed him even months after the incident. Every time his eyes would land on his best friend, he was brought back to the moment he was on his hands and knees calling for him while digging. Both of them are scared but can only confide in each other. *I do not own the characters*

Buck is 9 when his sister leaves him and his family alone for her boyfriend Doug when she turns 18. Still at age 9, Buck realizes he's getting even less and less attention from his parents causing him to increase his reckless ideas from skateboarding accidents to playing with fires. He's craving any type of attention from his parents even negative. Bobby Nash firefighter Captain of the 118 lost his family in a fire. His firehouse gets a call of a reported house fire and the only person saved is a small kid named Evan Buckley. Without any family willing to take him, and the police unable to locate his sister, Bobby gets clearance to give the child a roof over his head. He was drawn to the boy, and he knows he can take good care of him.Complete

Set after the events of 911 Season 6 Episode 9, Red Flag... Eddie makes his choice and pursues a relationship with Buck. This comes with the trials and tribulations of getting together, being in love, the lightning strike, Buck's recovery, the secret relationship reveal, parental drama, and Buck's past as a SEAL coming back to haunt the 118. I wrote a large chunk of this story during the winter hiatus. Started posting on the archive in February. All of this is already posted there. You may have already read this there. This story will be ongoing and will deal with some heavy themes. Trigger warning up front. They will deal with, but not tolerate homophobia, ableism, Bobby's AA, Buck's history of abuse, Maddie's is mentioned, Eddie's family drama. These triggers and others make an appearance... None are tolerated, and they overcome things as a team and a family. There will be drama, angst, violence, smut, cursing, etc... There will be some angst between the characters. No character bashing ... they actually will deal with their issues to move past them. There is some drama between Buck and Maddie very early ... and then Buck and Eddie against Bobby... Eddie and Bobby, Buck and Chim... These are done to actually deal with plots the show leaves hanging.
