"Please, spare him, Euijoo doesn't deserve this-" Lia's words are cut off by a hard palm across her cheek, the girl falling to the ground with the force of the slap. She hears scuffling to her side, recognizing EJ's voice as he struggles against whatever, or whoever, was holding him.
"You would choose a boy over your own family?" Lia's father says in the girls face, his hot breath fanning across her face. She tries to turn away but fingers tangle in her hair, pulling her face back towards her father. There's more struggling, Lia tensing as she hears a loud thud as though someone had been knocked to the ground.
"It's really a shame you won't be able to see him die like the criminal he is."
