Oh and also maybe stop the eldritch horrors that are slowly consuming the planet, but that's just a side quest :P

New Eridu managed to survive and thrive after the apocalypse by acquiring the technology to be able to extract resources out of the Hollows. Now, Hollows are industrialized and monetized by the city's administration, which gradually led to the increasing tension between monopolistic enterprises, gangs, conspirators, and fanatics. (Yes, I copy-paste it from the wiki.) The Criminal Investigation Special Response Team is a division of PubSec operating out of the Janus Quarter (namely, in its Lumina Square branch). They are tasked with the investigation of criminal activity, performing raids and in-Hollow operations. A new member recently joined the infamous CISRT, abruptly so sudden. His past was a mystery.
