This poem deals with the inner conflict of wanting to safe someone but having to save yourself from being hurt again. You relate to their conflict but know, that they gotta learn from it by themselves-they don't need to be saved. You should never be an option-and you should never be chosen for safety reasons. Know your worth and never choose love that makes you question your worth<3

Trapped in an abusive relationship, Serena clings to the one place that brings her peace-PIB, short for Poetry Is Beauty. The slam poetry venue becomes her sanctuary, a space where words offer the escape she desperately needs when Calvin's anger turns to violence. One evening, as she seeks refuge among the verses, she meets Michael-a stranger whose presence feels unexpectedly warm and safe. As their conversations unfold, Serena begins to see a glimpse of something she thought she'd lost: hope. But breaking free from her past won't be easy. Will poetry and newfound connection give her the strength to reclaim her life? I do not allow my story to be copied or reproduced in any way. ⚠️Trigger Warning: This story contains sensitive themes.
