Moses, a former NSA operative, thought he had left his troubled past behind-until an ancient, reality-bending conspiracy pulls him back into a world where nothing is what it seems. At the heart of it all is Wendy, a squishmallow-like stuffed frog from his childhood, which begins to show a dark and unsettling connection to a secret cult's ritual, known as the Convergence.

Fleeing from a powerful global network of shadowy figures and government agencies, Moses finds himself entangled in a web of cryptic codes, forbidden knowledge, and occult practices. His journey leads him to the remote, war-torn Balkans, where the cult seeks to open a portal to another dimension that could reshape the very fabric of reality.

As Moses uncovers horrifying truths, his connection to Wendy deepens in disturbing and inexplicable ways. What began as an innocent comfort becomes something far darker, an obsession that defies logic and reality itself. With the threads of his sanity unraveling, Moses must stop the cult before the Convergence is complete-or risk losing himself to the chaos.

Threads of Madness weaves together elements of espionage, supernatural horror, and psychological tension in a surreal, mind-bending thriller. It is a story about control, obsession, and the thin line between reality and madness.

A Time to Mourn A Time to Dance - A SciFi Paranormal Romantic Suspense Novella by lisasheaauthor
12 parts Complete
Phuong Nguyen grew up a foster child; she knew the true meaning of Hell on Earth. In her teens, she'd desperately sought refuge in the online virtual world. Within those computer-based communities she could be anyone. Do anything. She became known around the world as Ratridevi, co-founder of the Hive Collective. With the Hive's assistance she'd taken down dictators. Brought child pornographers to justice. She'd at long last found love. But now her research into consciousness, meditation, and virtual reality had unearthed a stunning breakthrough - she could view any time in history before 1966 and create an exact video recording of what occurred. These revelations could help viewers track down long-lost gold mines, reveal the truth behind religious systems, and destroy corrupt empires. Now she just has to stay alive long enough to share the news. * * * A Time to Mourn A Time to Dance is book one in this series. In general, my novellas are written without explicit intimacy or violence. As such they are suitable for teens and up. I support battered women's shelters. I would love your input as I'm writing these - it's your suggestions which will help guide the direction the story moves in! If you prefer to read your stories complete, you are welcome to wait until the sequence is complete and then buy the box set. Either way, you support the cause! I traditionally create a boxed set for my novella series every three books or so.

The past carries an unjust history. Immoral actions mark the present. The future holds untold consequences. Bad things happen to good people, and good people do bad things. | | || ||| ||||| |||||||| ||||||||||||| You, of all people, should understand the obsession. Whether it's the endless hours lost to a screen, the compulsion to scroll through forums, the need for that next high, the haunting grip of past trauma, the fixation on someone unattainable, the pursuit of a fleeting feeling, or even the inexplicable attachment to something as simple as frogs-obsession has woven itself into every corner of your life. •__ •_ •• •_• •_• • •••• / ••_ • •_• I have done terrible things because I let obsession take over me. It wasn't always that way. It started as a lie; it became true one day. I told myself I was in control and could stop anytime, but I only lied to myself. I was powerless. I never wanted to hurt anyone; I hurt him and myself. Now, I'm left with the wreckage of my choices. I wonder if there's any way to get things back to how they were before. To us, they are just another random person: the letters carved on the table, the artist of old graffiti, the person who also walked into the restroom, the reason the trash is full, or the garbage thrower on the side of the streets. But to them, they're the main fucking character in their own story, and each mark, item, digital trace, and photo they have makes a fragment of their existence. We may never know their face or name, but the traces they left remind us that everyone's lives intersect, creating a vast web of connections; unnoticed or not, they are never truly invisible.
