A different take on my book, The Preacher's son. The old version will be put up on the website. I hope you enjoy both versions! This can be read as a standalone book.

Ruth Hastings just found out her dad and little brother passed away in a car accident.  At 22 years old, she feels that life has proven to her that she's nothing but a curse to those around her. Moving back briefly to the smalltown she'd spent her senior year of high school in, she's reunited with old friends, an annoying Christian community, and the constant nagging reminder that everything is too good to be true.
Especially things with her ex-boyfriend David Herman. The Handsome, Talented, Christian man. The most annoyingly incredible guy Ruth had ever met. Their attraction was instantaneous, the gossip scandalous. 
They left for college with bittersweet memories, 4 years passed. Now here they are. One grieving, the other unraveling. 
Both yearning.

An edgy Christian drama novelette. Jerry has problems. A few years ago his pregnant mother died. His Dad has reduced himself to a drunk. Dad gets violent when he drinks, which is all the time. Jerry decides to run away, but ends up destroying another family by taking all of his anger towards his dad out on a stranger. How will this all be reconciled? This version of the story has been through an edit, a title change and a cover change. It's a much cleaner better version of the story. I've published the first 3 chapters. Forward I'm writing this for those who think that things might be a little different than what we were taught. In my case, a lot different. This line of think does not come easy. We have been programmed from one generation to the other that our way is the only way that leads to an everlasting paradise. It's tremendously hard to push your mind somewhere else when doing so gets you eternal punishment. When this is all over, I may find that what I have been taught by my family is totally right.
