"When They Take Over" is a story about six people named Blaine, Alex, Maverick, Rick, Steve, and John who live in a post apocalyptic world that is overrun by Thrashers. Thrashers are mutated humans that have a rock like infection on their forearms and head. Along with the infection, are crystals that spread the infection that also covers the humans forearms and head. The goal of the six is to survive until the apocalypse is over. Will they be able to survive until the end of the Thrashers reign?

The New World Government was set-up and now faces a new problems. Another thing, Since the war was fought with tremendous amounts nuclear arsenals, this war caused mutations to humans. The mutation occurred on atomic and cellular level. From minimal mutations to major mutations like physical, temporal and elemental mutations. Though its cool to have those mutations some think it as a curse for human beings. Scientists on the other hand claims it as a disease. A cellular disease caused by the widespread exposure to nuclear radiations. They call this disease as X-men syndrome referenced from 20th century fictional comics. The fictional mutations on comics and manga is now a reality. I myself, is an X-men.
