Part 1: Best Friends Forever

Lily and Emma had been best friends since childhood. They lived on the same street, went to the same school, and shared everything with each other. Everyone at school called them "The Duo" because they were always together, laughing and having fun.

They spent hours at each other's houses, dreaming about the future, planning trips, and talking about life's adventures. Their friendship was built on trust, loyalty, and love.

"I can't imagine life without you," Lily said one day, sitting on Emma's bed.

"Me neither," Emma replied with a smile. "We'll always be together, no matter what."

Part 2: The New Guy

But everything changed when a new guy, Alex, arrived at school. He was tall, with dark hair and a mysterious smile that caught everyone's attention. Soon, everyone was talking about him.

Lily and Emma noticed Alex too. At first, they joked about it, as they always did. "He's cute," Lily said casually during lunch one day.

"Totally," Emma agreed with a laugh.

But soon, their lighthearted conversations about Alex turned more serious. Lily found herself thinking about him more and more, not realizing that Emma felt the same way.

Although neither of them wanted to admit it, both had fallen for Alex. Their friendship, once so easy and carefree, began to feel tense as unspoken feelings created a silent distance between them.
