Magic is banned in Stegalla. It always has been. Anyone who's caught using magic was exiled, lost to history, including Princess Darana.

Princess Darana had been documenting her experiences using magic, knowing it was only a matter of days, even hours before she was caught. She managed to hide the pages out of sight in a secret place as she was taken.

Many years later, twins Calliope and Caliste Goldthorn have discovered magic and they too live in fear of discovery. That all changes the day they find the hidden pages of the past, and set out on a daring and possibly dangerous quest to reveal the truth about magic and the rightful rulers of Stegalla.
