PRINCESS - SCARLETT Every fae royal gets a hybrid at sixteen, to keep by their side. It's been a tradition for centuries. They can come in many forms: wolves, cats, even dragons, although they were exotic. I'd been told about them since I could understand, that I'd know what mine would be to tame when I saw it. But why am I drawn to the one hybrid I cannot make bow? The one that thrashes against its cage? HYBRID - DENZEL I hate fae. All they do is hurt, hurt, hurt, until you're a bloody ball of nerves on the ground for them to laugh at and mock. I will never submit to any fae, never kneel to those pointed-ear freaks. They do not deserve my submission. I will fight until my last breath to be free once again. Her kind and warm eyes do not fool me. She's just like the rest of them, maybe worse since she rules over them all. So why do I see myself in her eyes?

"We are the infamous outcasts; the hybrids that shouldn't exist. Our only purpose is survival and the fight against the prejudice that causes our suffering. We are the Sky Demons and now is the time for our return." There exists a magical world dominated by two humanoid species: the colourful spectrumosa and the animalistic deishani, in which hybrids between these two are feared for their greater powers and magical abilities and are accordingly persecuted at birth. Follow the journey of some of the few young hybrids who managed to escape the inevitable and must now find somewhere safe to call home and live in peace. But is the fact that these children just might one day pose a threat really enough justification for their deaths? And is it truly possible for a hybrid to live peacefully? _________________________________________________________ The Sky Demons: Journey is the first in an ongoing trilogy.
