Sabrina Astor knew from the moment the Sorting Hat chanted these words in her first year, that she belonged in the house of the raven. As an amateur philosopher, she delighted in pondering the problems of both worlds, muggle and wizarding.

But while she embraced tough questions and was accustomed to conflict and resolution, she was stunned when the fight became internal. The most essential part of her started to war with each itself--her heart.

Something must be sacrificed in order to maintain peace or risk isolating herself from the people who make her life worth living.
