Layla Stevens first met Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi and Kirstin Maldonado on her first day of 9th grade. She was the new girl and the trio welcomed her with open arms; they quickly became her best friends. She and Scott ended up dating all through high school, until he broke up with her without any explanation. She later moved away from Texas for college and eventually lost touch with the trio.
Until several years later when she's living in LA and she bumps into them, reigniting their friendship and meeting their band mates, Kevin Olusola and Avi Kaplan. She quickly becomes part of the group (friend group, not musical group) and life is going great. But when a drunken hook up leads to a surprise pregnancy, Layla must make a choice and learn to take a chance on love again.
*This story is primarily from Layla and Avi's POV but we'll get some of Scott's POV as well.*
