For this cyborg, power is just an upgrade away. Emmett was used to being caught between college and his engineering internship, but when he gets caught between a powerful hero and an even stronger villain, he becomes collateral damage. Instead of dying, he wakes up a cyborg. Turns out his boss wasn't just an eccentric inventor, and the old man just gave him a shining opportunity to be a hero. Except that's just the beginning, and things are about to get a lot more complicated. His boss has his own agenda. The boss's daughter has her own power armor. His roommate works for an evil corporation. And Emmett is small fry. Just a Class 1 hero. Superheroes aren't just masks-some work for corporations, or for the government and the military, and even as mercenaries in wars. Shadowy cabals pull the strings of hero and villain alike. The city of Belport might be peaceful for now, but most of the world is in turmoil. If Emmett is going to have any chance at making a difference, he needs to get stronger. A lot stronger. How much of his humanity will he hold onto and how much will he trade away? If you're a fan of Cyborg, Winter Soldier, Iron Man, or Batman Beyond, then you don't want to miss this series! Obscure

22 parts Complete

Forgetting is dangerous. Remembering is deadly. Elias: the man sitting handcuffed in an interrogation room deep in a secret underground facility. On the surface, he looks harmless. But his mind is a weapon-he can erase memories with a thought. Kirill: the man on the other side of the interrogation table. He has a weapon of his own-he can see inside other people's memories. All he has to do is make them feel a strong enough emotion, and their minds are his. And no emotion works quite as well as fear. Elias has worked for decades to save the Enhanced-people born with superhuman abilities-from being abducted and forced into black-ops work. Now his captors want the names of everyone who has ever helped him. If Kirill's methods of persuasion don't work, he'll simply use Elias's fear to slip into his mind and plunder his memories. But he may get more than he bargained for. Decades ago, Elias erased a set of memories that tie the two of them together in a way neither of them suspects. And those memories are about to come to light. Obscure is part of the Mind Games universe, a series of standalone stories about ordinary humans with superhuman abilities and the people who want to use or destroy them. This novel is 65,000 words long, or about 200 pages.
